The Initiation

I began my studies for this piece by trying to understand the feeling of the world I was trying to tell. I watched documentaries, searched for references, read some texts. It is a theme that always interested me and now I decided to allow myself to create without worrying extremely with the reality.

THE IDEA
I wanted to tell the story of an extraordinary fishing of a big and rare fish, that seems to be captured without much work by this native powerful woman (#girlpower). The hardships of the journey to find it would be displayed by the trail of mud up until the clean waters. The image shows the way back from the catch, when the characters feet get dirty again by the landscape.
I had the idea to associate subtly to an icon to make the message clearer. The image chosen was the samurai, at the peak of his strength and grandiosity and it is show in some of the main character's shapes.
